• Anonymous Classics : 無著者名古典作品統一タイトルリスト (in Japanese) is available.
  This document presents a standardized list of uniform titles for anonymous classical Japanese works. It is based on the titles listed in Appendix 4.1: List of Uniform Headings for Anonymous Classics and Sacred Texts, Japan and the Orient, of the Nippon Cataloging Rules, 1987 Revised 3rd Edition. It was created by the National Diet Library with the cooperation from the Cataloging Committee of the Japan Library Association (日本図書館協会目録委員会), the National Institute of Japanese Literature (国文学研究資料館) .
  On September 2025,「Anonymous Classics : a list of uniform titles for Japanese works」was released at IFLA Cataloguing Section for IFLA as part of its Anonymous Classics project.

• 国立国会図書館ジャンル・形式用語作業指針 (National Diet Library Genre/Form Terms Cataloging Manual) (in Japanese) is updated.
  National Diet Library Genre/Form Terms "議会資料 (Gikai shiryo : Legislative materials)", "児童図書 (Jido tosho : Children's book)", "漫画 (Manga : Comics)" and "楽譜 (Gakufu : Notated music)" began to be assigned to the foreign materials (books and non-books) in March 2024.
• JAPAN/MARC MARC21フォーマットマニュアル (2021年1月) (JAPAN/MARC MARC21 Format Manual (January 2021 version)) (in Japanese) is updated.
  The main changes in the manual are as follows:
  • Field 700, 710, 730, 800 and 810 of JAPAN/MARC MARC21 Format Manual for Monographs and Serials
  • Field 010, 024 and 670 of JAPAN/MARC MARC21 Format Manual for Authorities

The main changes in the manual are about expanding identifier input: fields 010 and 024 of JAPAN/MARC MARC21 format for Authorities of Personal Names were added in April 2023, and field 010 for those of Works in July 2023.
