Umeda
The center for transportation in Osaka. Osaka Station opened in 1874 with the opening of the Osaka-Kobe railroad line, and was followed by other private railway stations being opened by companies such as Hanshin Electric Railway and Hankyu Electric Railway. The extensive shopping district centered around Umeda and Kitashinchi is called Kita.
