YOSHIDA Hatsusaburo's panoramic bird's-eye views

The Tetsudo ryoko annai (Railway travel guide), published by the Ministry of Railways in 1921 (Taisho 10) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the railway's opening, included numerous bird's-eye views by YOSHIDA Hatsusaburo (1884–1955). These maps became so popular that they went through dozens of editions. The NDL Image Bank features the revised edition published in 1924 (Taisho 13).
