Nishiki-e depicting the circus

This theme brings together nishiki-e prints and other works depicting the circus from the ASHIHARA Eiryo Collection, which comprises materials relating to chanson, ballet, and theater. The ASHIHARA Eiryo Collection is also introduced in the National Diet Library Monthly Bulletin: "Welcome to an exciting time: World of Eiryo Ashihara Collection" (1) Ballet, (2) Chanson, (3) Circus.
