As the NDL belongs to the Diet, its annual revenues and expenditures are in the national budget. The total amount of the initial budget appropriated for NDL is approximately 20,426 million yen for FY2025 beginning in April 2025.
Approximately 2,227 million yen is allocated for library materials as follows:
