Ise
A region in the middle east of Mie Prefecture. The east side faces Ise Bay and the west side borders the Suzuka Mountain Range. The area has long been a bustling torii-mae (in front of the shrine) town for the Ise Jingu Shrine. It is known for Ise Jingu Shrine, Futami-Okitama-jinja Shrine, Meoto-iwa (Wedded Rocks), Sarutahiko Shrine, and Mt. Asakuma.
