Mt. Chokai
A volcano located on the border between Akita and Yamagata prefectures. Also known as "Dewa Fuji”. Chokaisan has long been considered as a sacred mountain and has been the site of religious mountaineering since ancient times. The Omonoimi Shrine is at the summit.
