Imasugata (Modern figures)
Imasugata is a series of bijin fuzoku-ga (pictures of women and contemporary customs) by YAMAMOTO Shoun. It was published in four installments from 1906 to 1909 (Meiji 39–42). With more than fifty prints, the series offers a valuable record of then-current fashions as well as styles that preserved the lingering atmosphere of Edo.
