To introduce the facilities and functions of the Tokyo Main Library, we offer guided tours (available for age 18 or over). For further information, please contact us.

Guided tours in Japanese

Tours are available for age 18 or over. High school students cannot join a tour unless they are school library committee members (age 16 or over).

Guided tours in English

Guided tours in English are available for non-Japanese visitors who do not understand spoken Japanese.
Japanese visitors accompanying non-Japanese visitors are also welcome to participate in the tour.
The tour is about one hour in length, including a 15-minute video introduction to the Library.
We accept applications by email.
Please apply at least seven days in advance of the day you wish to visit the Library. We do not accept requests for same-day tours.
