Yonezawa
A city in southeastern Yamagata Prefecture. During the Edo period, it flourished as a castle town of the Uesugi clan. Uesugi Shrine, dedicated to Kenshin Uesugi, is located at the site of the main citadel of Yonezawa Castle.
