Suruga-cho
The name of the town came from the fact that Mt. Fuji in Suruga could be seen across from Edo Castle. It was said this area provided the best view of Mt. Fuji in all of Edo. The Mitsui Echigoya store (present day Mitsukoshi), known for honest cash trade, was located here.
