Is bibliographic data available for purchase?

NDL bibliographic data is available free of charge from various web services. Please see "How to Get Bibliographic Data".
Although the NDL itself does not make available a complete set of JAPAN/MARC, which is a machine-readable version of the Japanese National Bibliography and name authority records, there are organizations that do make JAPAN/MARC available for a fee. Please see "The Japanese National Bibliography (JNB) > JAPAN/MARC" for further details.

What is the Japanese National Bibliography?
A
The Japanese National Bibliography comprises standard bibliographic data for Japanese publications acquired via the legal deposit system as well as Japanese publications and foreign publications in Japanese acquired through donation, purchase, or other means. The National Diet Library makes Japanese National Bibliography records available from a number of sources to promote new publications promptly and widely.
