Registered-user cards are valid at the Tokyo Main Library, the Kansai-kan Library, and the International Library of Children's Literature.
A registered-user card will expire three years after its date of issue or its date of update. The expiration date is automatically updated every time using our services such as logging in NDL Search, entering the Tokyo Main Library or Kansai-kan Library, etc.
If your card expires, you will have to complete registration as a new user once more.
We can reissue your registered-user card. Please come to the User Registration Counter at the Tokyo Main Library or to the Entrance Counter at the Kansai-kan Library. You need to bring your identification document.
If you can log in to NDL Search, you can use online services of the NDL without a user card.
We will replace your card with a new registered-user card. When you visit the Library, please apply at the User Registration Counter at the Tokyo Main Library or at the Entrance Counter at the Kansai-kan Library. You need to bring your identification document.
Please deliver it to your nearest police station or police box.
