Information Related to the National Diet
This "Information Related to the National Diet" site aims to provide documents and information produced from the activities of the National Diet as well as documents and information intended to contribute to the legislative activities and the parliamentary oversight of government, and to play a role in connecting the people and the National Diet.

Here we present various research materials on national policy issues. These publications are available in PDF format and written in Japanese.
The articles in these publications have been examined officially by the Research and Legislative Reference Bureau, in terms of their usefulness for the Diet deliberations, the neutrality, objectivity and accuracy of the descriptions and the clarity of the arguments, etc.

A database system providing full-text of minutes of the plenary sittings and committee meetings since the beginning of the first session of the Diet in 1947 in text data and in digital image through cooperation of the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors. | Stenographic records are available for all of Sessions 1-92 (1890-1947) of the Imperial Diet in either text or image format. | The Index Database to Japanese Laws, Regulations and Bills provides information on legislation going back to 1886. Links to the texts of laws, regulations and bills posted on the governmental websites are available.
