Businessman. Born in Ehime, the son of a samurai of the Uwajima Clan. He, too, served in the Uwajima Clan, and after the Meiji Restoration worked at the Finance Ministry but resigned in 1882. Thereafter, he jointly developed various businesses with Keijiro Amemiya. In his later years, he successively held posts as a councillor of Daisan Bank, director of Boso Railways and others. His son, Makoto Iomi, was also a well-known businessman.
