2015-10-14 Approximately 300 sound recordings of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion) are newly available online from October 14.

On October 14, the National Diet Library made approximately 300 sound recordings of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion) available for streaming online.

  Japanese broadcasting announcement which reports the outbreak of the Pacific War, dated December 8, 1941
• Example 2 『日本放送協会著作権所有:水上競技実況放送（女子二百米平泳決勝）』
  On-the-spot broadcasting of the 200-meter breaststroke event at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by the announcer Sansei Kasai (河西三省), which is famous for his comment "Maehata Ganbare" (Go Maehata!)

  The lecture by Eiichi Shibusawa (渋沢栄一)

The total number of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion) is about 50,000 items. Approximately 1,400 of them are provided on the Internet; others are available only within the facilities of the NDL and the over 200 Rekion partner libraries in Japan and overseas.
