This is a type of encyclopedia and includes various handbooks, news commentary, and a newspaper terminology dictionary. The original German first edition was published in 1704 under title Reales Staats- und Zeitungs-Lexicon, and was repeatedly revised and enlarged thereafter. Hubner Sr., who wrote the geographic book Algemeene geographie, served as an editorial supervisor and wrote the preface, while P. B. Sinold von Schutz wrote the main text. The first Dutch edition (2 volumes), which was translated from the 12th edition of the original, was published in 1732-34, and this book was translated from a subsequent edition. This was called Korantsu toruko by the Dutch studies scholars, and it is referenced in many works.
