2024-1-5 The new NDL Search launched

The National Diet Library (NDL), Japan, has integrated two of its web services—the National Diet Library Online Search and Request Service (NDL Online) and the NDL Search—and launched them as the new NDL Search web service on January 5, 2024.

The new NDL Search continues to allow patrons to search not just the holdings and digital contents of the NDL but also the holdings of other institutions from a single interface while inheriting the ease of use of the NDL Online and providing easy access to digital contents. Requests for NDL services and the display of bibliographic information about the holdings of other libraries in Japan have also been improved to be easier to understand.
Search results are displayed together with related information that is useful for research purposes, thereby providing our patrons with efficient access to the information they seek.
