2019-4-18 National Diet Library expected to be crowded before and after Golden Week holidays

The National Diet Library will be closed from Sunday April 28 to Monday May 6 during the Golden Week holidays.

The National Diet Library will be open on Friday April 26, Saturday April 27, and Tuesday May 7, 2019.

If you are planning to visit the NDL either immediately before or after Golden Week, please be aware that we expect the library to be very crowded due to a large influx of patrons. Please give yourself plenty of time for your visit.

User Registration is required to request library materials from closed stacks. Please refer to User Registration for detailed information on how to become a registered user.

Processing application for user registration can take some time when the library is crowded. Please be aware of this if you intend to apply during this busy time.
