Description

Born in Tokyo. Known as a speculator in the Meiji Era. In 1872, he started dealing in polished rice in Mukoyanagiwara, Asakusa, then entered the market world and managed a brokerage house. Along with Heizo Watanabe and Yonekichi Sasaki, he was known as one of the three most distinguished figures in the rice market.
