This is a translation by the Bureau for the Inspection of Barbarian Books of the articles in the Javasche courant (Official newspaper of the Batavian government in Java) that was submitted in place of the Dutch News Reports, and was published by Rosokan Yorozuya Heishiro. These reports of foreign affairs were selected from the articles for August to November, 1861.
