  • User Registration is required to use materials (originals, microfilmed materials and DVDs).
  • To use rare books and semi-rare books, you need to submit an application at least one week in advance. We do not accept walk-in applications for same-day use.
  • Advance reservation is required to use originals on Saturdays. (Advance reservation is not necessary to use microforms and digitized materials)

For originals, color transparencies: Mon.- Fri. 9:30-16:00
(On Saturdays, by advance reservation only)
(materials are delivered at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00)
For microforms and DVDs: Mon.- Sat. 9:30-16:00
Announcement
  1. User Registration is required to use materials (originals, microfilmed materials and DVDs).
  2. After finding a material of interest in the NDL Online or other means, please confirm the call number, fill out a call-slip, and submit it at the counter.
  3. Permission is required to use originals. Only for official study or research, or academic study or research. Please fill in an application form giving the objective and theme of the research and submit it at the counter.
  4. Materials already microfilmed or digitized are available only in microform or digitized form to preserve the originals.
  5. To use rare books and semi-rare books, you need to submit an application at least one week in advance.
  6. Advance reservation is required to use originals on Saturdays. (Advance reservation is not necessary to use microforms and digitized materials)
  7. Pencil only. Do not use erasers. Bringing any tools which could possibly damage materials is not allowed.
Photoduplication
  1. Materials already microfilmed or digitized are available only in microform or digitized form to preserve the originals.
    Prints from microfilmed or digitized materials can be received on the same day.
    Requests for same-day photoduplication service: 10:00-16:00 (printouts from microfilmed or digitized materials by 16:50 on weekdays)
  2. Originals can be photoduplicated only by the following methods:
    • Microfilming/printing from microfilms
    • Digitizing (in the form of a DVD)
    Those cannot be received on the same day but will be sent after 3 or more working days.
    Request for later date photoduplication service (sent by mail): 10:00-16:30
    Special permission for photoduplication is required in case of copying all pages from an original.
