About 300 titles added to the Digital Library of Children's
Literature
The Digital Library of Children's Literature covers digitized and copyright-cleared pre-1955 childrens literature held by the International Library of Childrens Literature and Tokyo Main Library in full-content images and provides them on the web.
As of the end of December 2009, 293 titles had been added, with the total of 1,980 titles open for the viewing.
Newly added items include Yoshio Toyoshimas first childrens story collection Yume no Tamago (lit. Egg of Dreams) along with childrens literature like Sunao Tokunagas Jinza-don no Kusatori (lit. Mr. Jinzas Weeding) which is based on his childhood experience, and picture books such as Bunshu Iguchis Pita Pan no Bouken (lit. Adventure of Peter Pan) (1949)
