You can search the database by entering the title, author or call number of the material in the column for "Simple search" or using "Advanced search." Searches can be made in Japanese only. If you do not know specific words for searching, you can select from the title list linked from the "Advanced search" screen of each category. For example, click on the "Japanese and Chinese old books" icon, and you will then see the advanced search screen. 

Click "Title list" button for the list of "Japanese and Chinese old books" available from this database. Materials will appear in the order of Japanese syllabary. Although the lists of the "Japanese and Chinese old books" and "Old maps" show thumbnail images, the "Nishikie" list shows only the titles. A romanized title will appear if you place the cursor over a thumbnail image. Choose one and click for the complete images.
