for the 6th mutual visit program of

| This speech introduced the reorganization of the NDL in FY2002, and
gave an outline of the facilities of the Kansai-kan and the International
Library of Children's Literature, and enhanced service via the Internet,
produced by 1) advanced search of materials, 2) increased provision of
collections in full text, 3) advanced use of information on the Internet,
and 4) improved service by digital request.
The audience whispered in surprise to see the pictures of the stacks and the General Collections Room, which is as large as a football stadium. |
