The NDL Bibliographies
NDL Catalog of Japanese Books
As the only depository library in Japan, the National Diet Library acquires all materials published in Japan. In FY1998, the NDL completed the retrospective conversion of all card catalogs of Japanese books to machine readable form. Bibiliographic data from 1868 are available on magnetic tape, CD-ROM and book catalog, and the data from 1948 are searchable through the internet on the NDL website.
