New Publication from the NDL
International Symposium on
Current Status and Future of Bibliographic Information
in Southeast Asian Countries
The National Diet Library held an International Symposium "Current Status and Future of Bibliographic Information in Southeast Asian Countries" on March 10 and 11 in 1997 to promote the Asian Resource Information Center (tentative name) Project.
The proceedings include eight country reports.
Helen Jarvis from Australia reported on acquisitions and access of
Southeast Asian information in Australia. Seven information specialists
from Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand
and Vietnam introduced the present state of bibliographic information in
their countries.
