The Research and Legislative Reference Bureau of the National Diet Library organizes a project team to conduct research on long-term and interdisciplinary political issues.

On 25 September, Research Material "Regeneration of Japan through Technology and Culture" was published. This report consists of a collection of research papers and a record of FY 2011 International Policy Seminar.

The Japanese economy is suffering from 20 years of recession and the severe impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake. The reports discuss Japan’s growth strategy to overcome this situation, focusing mainly on the overseas expansion of infrastructure and contents industry.
