2012-8-24 About 17,000 digitized books, rare books and old materials, and doctoral dissertations, are newly available on the Internet.
On August 13, approximately 16,000 books, 427 rare books and old materials, and 24 doctoral dissertations, which had been provided only inside the NDL, became available on the Internet after copyright clearance. As a result, the total number of the NDL digitized materials on the Internet is now about 417,000.
Among the materials available on the Internet, books are accessible on "The Digital Library from the Meiji Era"(Japanese), while rare books and old materials, and doctoral dissertations, are available on "The National Diet Library Digitized Contents"(Japanese).
