2012-7-11 Kansai-kan's opening and service policy for the planned power outage of Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. (KEPCO)
This is to notify the service policy and opening hours of the Kansai-kan during the planned power outage, based on the details of the “Announcement of Possible Planned Power Outage” this summer from KEPCO.
The Kansai-kan is in the planned power outage area. It is in the "3-H" group.
Opening hours may be changed due to the planned power outage in this period:
July 2 (Mon.) - September 7 (Fri.), 2012
＊excluding every Saturday, August 13 (Mon.) and August 14 (Tue.) among the days Kansai-kan is open

The Kansai-kan will be closed during the time of a power outage. Depending on the time zone of the power outage, service hours will be changed as follows:
- (1) The Kansai-kan will be closed for 30 minutes before the start time of a power outage.
- (2) The Kansai-kan will open one hour after the end of a power outage. We are making every effort to keep to the opening time, but it may be changed depending on the situation.
- (3) When the power outage starts from 12:30 (the third time zone below), the Kansai-kan will be closed before the start of the power outage and will open again after the end of the power outage. During the power outage, please leave the library premises.

- The decision to change the Kansai-kan opening hours because of power outages will be made after the announcement from KEPCO, which is supposed to be released 2 hours before the start of the power outage.
