2012-7-5 Historical Recordings Collection now provided to public libraries on a regular basis
Since January 2012, the National Diet Library has been providing digitized sound resources of the Historical Recordings Collection (Japanese) to some public libraries on a trial basis. As of July 2, the service became a regular one.
At the same time, the NDL started to accept applications from public libraries to participate in the service. Once a public library joins, it can access all the contents of the Historical Recordings Collection for free, regardless of the copyright status.
