2012-4-9 Digital images of official gazettes from the Meiji Era are now available on the Internet
As of April 9, The National Diet Library will provide digital images of official gazettes from the Meiji Era on the Internet. Gazettes from the first issue published on July 2, 1883 to the issue of April 30, 1952, are now available at "The National Diet Library Digitized Contents."
Including the official gazette, about 330,000 digitized materials will be added to the digital archives of the NDL in April. As a result, the total number of the digitized materials available inside the NDL will be more than 1,970,000, and 330,000 of them will be available also on the Internet.

“OFFICIAL GAZETTE: ENGLISH EDITION” published during the period of the Occupation after the Second World War, has been available within the facilities of the NDL since last year. They will also be available on the Internet from April 9.
