2012-1-25 Oral history of politics in Japan: interview with Aiichiro Fujiyama now released

On January 25(Wed), the National Diet Library released "Oral history of politics in Japan: interview with Aiichiro Fujiyama" at the Modern Japanese Political History Materials Room in the Tokyo Main Library.
Mr. Aiichiro Fujiyama(1897-1985), originally from the financial world, served as foreign minister and was involved in revising the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty in 1960 and exerted himself to restore diplomatic relations between Japan and China. This Recording was made in November and December 1981.
From 1961 to 1987, a total of ten persons have been recorded by NDL as "Oral history of politics" for the purpose of gathering comment on the behind-the-scenes facts and stories that had been unrevealed before.
Until now, nine of the recordings have been released and this is the last of the ten.
