On December 21 (Wed.), the National Diet Library released the electronic exhibition "Japanese Mathematics in the Edo Period."
Wasan is the native Japanese mathematics of the Edo period. This exhibition gives an outline history of Wasan through 45 old materials. It also introduces the role of Wasan in practical science such as creating calendars and maps.
