2011-2-14 Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan visit the National Diet Library
On 14 February, Their Majesties visited the Tokyo Main Library of the National Diet Library.
Their Majesties were welcomed by the Librarian Makoto Nagao and the Vice Librarian Motonobu Yoshinaga. The Librarian described the facilities by showing miniatures of the Tokyo Main Library, the Kansai-Kan and the International Library of Children's Literature. Their Majesties visited the Catalog Hall and the stock rooms of the Annex and saw rare books and modern Japanese political history materials and their digitized images.
