2011-1-31 The National Diet Library starts copying service by postal mail from "Digital Library from the Meiji Era"

On February 1, the National Diet Library will change the supplying method of copying service by postal mail for the materials of the "Digital Library from the Meiji Era" which can be seen only within the Tokyo Main Library and the Kansai-kan of the NDL.

From now on, printouts from digital data on ordinary paper will be supplied for the preservation of original materials. Up to now we have supplied copies made from original materials or microfilms.

The name of the National Diet Library and the print date will be printed at the bottom right of the printouts in order to specify the supplier.

For copying fees, fees for "Printouts of electronic material" (A4 size, 20 yen per 1 sheet, tax excluded) will be applied.
