2010-7-27 About 390,000 volumes will be available in the “Digital Library from the Meiji Era”(Japanese)

On July 27(Tue.), about 14,000 volumes published in the Meiji and Taisho eras (1868-1926) were added to “Digital Library from the Meiji Era”, and are now available on the internet.
On Sept 1(Wed.), the NDL will start a new service: the volumes whose copyright is still uncleared will be added to the database to be seen only within the Tokyo Main Library and the Kansai-kan of the NDL. In all, about 390,000 volumes will be available in the “Digital Library from the Meiji Era”
Newly added titles include “Shakkō” by Mokichi Saito, and “Spring & Asura” by Kenji Miyazawa.
