2010-5-31 World Digital Library Charter
The World Digital Library is a website which provides digitized materials relating to the culture of countries around the world. In April, the World Digital Library Charter entered into force.
This Charter prescribes objectives, targets, contents, contributors' right and so on. The World Digital Library has so far been maintained by agreements between the Library of Congress and each contributor, but from now is administered by an Executive Council and the Committees according to the Charter adopted by all contributors.
The National Diet Library provides 15 materials to the World Digital Library and will add more contents in the future.
