2009-8-28 About 7,800 volumes have been added to "Digital Library from the Meiji Era" (Japanese)

On August 25, images of 5,800 titles (6,500 volumes) published in the Taisho era (1912-1926) and 1,000 titles (1,300 volumes) published in the Meiji era (1868-1912) have been newly added to "Digital Library from the Meiji Era". With this addition, more than 150,000 titles in total are available in the database.
Newly added titles include, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" translated by Shoyo Tsubouchi, "R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots)" by Karel Čapek and "Kanraku", cartoons serialized in Asahi Shimbun by Ippei Okamoto, father of Taro Okamoto.
More books will be copyright-cleared, digitized and added successively to "Digital Library from the Meiji Era".
