As of December 17, 2007, Yoshitaka Ikuhara, Deputy Librarian of the National Diet Library, retired and Motonobu Yoshinaga, Director General of the Administrative Department, was appointed Deputy Librarian to succeed him.
Mr. Yoshinaga joined the National Diet Library in 1973, and served as Director General of the Public Services Department, and Director General of Acquisitions Department. He has served as Director General of the Administrative Department since April 2006.
