International Symposium on the Great East Japan Earthquake Archive: Community memories for the future

The National Diet Library and International Research Institute of Disaster Science, Tohoku University are pleased to announce a symposium on the Great East Japan Earthquake Archive and how to apply the records of and lessons learned from the disaster to reconstruction of the affected area.
The symposium will feature lectures on "The Digital Archive of Japan's 2011 Disasters" and "CEISMIC Canterbury Earthquake Digital Archive," followed by case reports and discussion with people from the institutions and organizations involved in application of the records of the disaster.
