Lecture by Mr. Roly Keating, Chief Executive of the British Library: "Living Knowledge: The British Library’s Future Vision"
(This event has ended.)

The National Diet Library has invited Mr. Roly Keating, Chief Executive of the British Library (BL), to give a lecture.

The BL is the national library of the United Kingdom established in 1973, based on some libraries including the national library part of the British Museum, and it is one of the biggest libraries in the world, holding nearly 150 million items. In January 2015, the BL set out a new vision, "Living knowledge," in anticipation of its 50th anniversary in 2023.

Mr. Keating will provide an overview of this new vision and the various BL programs that support research, business, culture, and learning in cooperation with other libraries and related institutions, as the BL seeks to enhance its contribution to the community. After the lecture, a Question and Answer Session will be conducted with the interviewer Prof. Emer.
