The National Diet Library will invite Dr. Claudia Lux, President of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and hold a lecture meeting.
Dr. Lux, who was appointed President of the IFLA in 2007, appeals for advocacy to promote understanding of libraries' importance among policy makers at different levels. In this lecture meeting, Dr. Lux will talk about future visions of libraries as well as the activities of the IFLA, and have a talk with Dr. Makoto Nagao, Librarian of the National Diet Library.
