National Diet Library Dublin Core Metadata Description (DC-NDL)

The NDL maintains a description metadata standard, "National Diet Library Dublin Core Metadata Description (DC-NDL)" for organizing, using and providing information resources on the internet.

The DC-NDL is composed of the following three parts. The first part is "NDL Metadata Terms," a list of metadata terms described by the NDL. The second part is "Application Profile," specifying the usage of each component (properties, classes and encoding schemes) in the NDL's metadata with examples for describing each component in RDF/XML format. The third part is "RDF Schema," a "Resource Description Format (RDF)" version of "NDL metadata Terms".
