The National Library of Thailand (NLT) hosted the 23rd Meeting of the Conference of Directors of National Libraries in Asia and Oceania (CDNLAO) from June 9 to 12, 2015 at the Grand Ballroom, Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21, Bangkok, Thailand. This was the first time the NLT hosted the CDNLAO Meeting. 31 delegates from 21 countries attended the General Meeting held on June 10, 2015, under the theme of "National Libraries for Sustainable Advancement."

The Meeting started with welcoming speeches from Mr. Pirapon Pisnupong, Deputy Director-General of the Fine Arts Department, and from Ms. Kanok-on Sakdadate, Director of the NLT. They were followed by the introduction of the participants, adoption of the agenda for the 23rd Meeting and approval of the minutes of the 22nd Meeting which was held in 2014 in Australia.
The meeting continued with two presentations from the NLT.
The first presentation entitled "D-Library: National Digital Content of National Library of Thailand" reported the progress of NLTís digitization. 4,443 items including rare and old materials, manuscripts, and newspapers, have been already digitized and made available on the Digital Collections.
The second presentation entitled "The National Library of Thailand: Public Knowledge Center" introduced the National Library Development for Lifetime Knowledge Resources Project which is conducted in collaboration with 11 branch libraries of the NLT.
The meeting proceeded with the country reports from each country.

Afterwards, the National Library of New Zealand, which will host the 24th CDNLAO Meeting in 2016, gave a video presentation of its library and announced that the meeting was planned to be held from March 9 to 11, 2016 at the National Library of New Zealand in Wellington under the theme of "Adding value through international cooperation." The 25th meeting in 2017 will be hosted by the National Library of India in Kolkata.
Before the conclusion, participants agreed that the National Library of Myanmar will be candidate for the host library of the 26th CDNLAO Meeting, and it will be confirmed when Myanmar formally makes a decision to hold the 17th CONSAL meeting in 2018.
