This issue’s featured topic is reading promotion. For the next issue (No. 78, November 2013), the special topic will be historical documents. Many libraries are repositories of historical documents, which add significant meaning to our mutual cultural heritage. Please tell us about your valuable historical documents, your experiences utilizing them in events such as onsite or online exhibitions, and the challenges you face preserving original copies. We are very interested to hear what kind of preservation and conservation methods, storage conditions, and other situations are found at libraries in countries throughout the Asia and Oceania region, and we welcome your contributions on this topic. We also welcome articles on your library’s activities and comments on the Newsletter.
