NDL Newsletter No. 184 features preservation activities of the National Diet Library

By National Diet Library

The National Diet Library (NDL) conducts preservation cooperation activities with Japanese and foreign libraries, based on experience and knowledge accumulated by preserving its own collections.

After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the number of requests to hold workshops on disaster preparedness has increased, partly because the NDL has assisted salvaging activities.

To share our knowledge, we brought out NDL Newsletter No. 184, a special issue on preservation which covers some training programs and salvaging activities, and also introduces a part of the NDL's related recent activities. It is available on our website at http://www.ndl.go.jp/en/publication/ndl_newsletter/backno2012.html
