Mr. Jangsup Shim, Chief Executive of the NLK
It is my great pleasure to extend warm greetings to library colleagues in the Asia-Oceania region.
On March 9, 2012, I was appointed as Chief Executive of the National Library of Korea (NLK) in succession to Mr. Jin Young Woo.
I have more than 20 years of working experience in library policy, copyright policy, and media policy as a government official of the Ministry of Culture, Spots, and Tourism.
As Chief Executive of the NLK, my focus will be on establishing a future direction and setting an example for libraries at home and abroad. The NLK will continue to contribute to the international library community by sharing experience and knowledge we gained through what we have done right and what we had done wrong.
I look forward to meeting Asia-Oceania colleagues at the CDNL meeting in August this year.
With best wishes,
Jangsup Shim
