As we all know, CDNL-AO meeting is held every year.　Each member country within the regions of Asia and Oceania takes turn in organizing the event, and usually it is held in conjunction with a bigger event to make it more fruitful. The year 2006 saw the National Library of the Philippines took charge of the meeting in Manila, 26 March 2006, prior to the CONSAL (Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians) conference.

As decided and approved by the members in that meeting, the following CDNL-AO assembly will be hosted by the National Library of Indonesia. It is scheduled to be held at Hotel Sahid Raya, Bali, on the second week of May, between 7 - 9 May 2007. The hotel, a 15-minute drive from the airport, lies on the well-known Kuta beach along with other hotels, and is within walking distance from colorful market stalls, shops and restaurants. As always, another event will coincide with this meeting, i.e. a one-day seminar on the preservation of rare materials. Participants of CDNL-AO are welcome to take part in this seminar. This occasion is also to commemorate the National Library of Indonesia's 27th anniversary which falls on 17 May.

The host country will provide the accommodation for one representative from each member country and related costs, such as airport transfer and meals. For the return air travel from the country of origin to Bali, members shall cover the expenses and arrange the itinerary themselves. Frequent direct flights to Bali are normally available without the need to transit in Jakarta. There is no charge to attend the seminar.

Concerning the agenda of the meeting, besides the usual country report from every member, there will be a specific topic which will be discussed as recommended at the last meeting in Manila. Thus, each member should be prepared in advance to talk about it although no paper is required to be submitted. However, the subject matter may be emphasized in the country report. The topic will presumably cover the issue of digital library in anticipation of the World Digital Library (WDL) initiative launched in December 2006 in Paris.
