2005 BRIEF REPORT

| The 13th Meeting of the CDNLAO 2005 Malaysia was held on 24 May
2005 at the Grand Seasons Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. It was chaired by Dr.
Hj. Wan Ali bin Wan Mamat, the Director-General of the National Library
of Malaysia. The Meeting was attended by 15 CDNLAO members.
It was held to coincide with the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme which was held from 25 until 27 May 2005. All member countries expressed their sadness and share the grief of countries affected by the 26 December 2004 tsunami and extended their condolences to affected countries in the region. The Agenda of the Meeting is in Appendix I. 15 country reports were presented at the Meeting and each member highlighted the happenings of 2004 in their respective countries. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the paper on 'Universal Service Provision (USP)' by the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communication was not presented but a photocopy of the paper was distributed among the members. The names of members who attended the Meeting are listed in Appendix
II.
